Forty-odd years in a pro shop taught me one thing: people want it straight. So here's every step where your details touch my site, in order.
The plain rules
- Rule one: nothing on this site tracks you for ads.
- Rule two: Hotmart takes your money, and your card number never gets to me.
- Rule three: your details are never sold or rented.
- Rule four: write to business@golfbruce.com to see or delete your data.
First, who I am
Who's actually running this site?
Bruce Halloran Golf. That name covers the site, the books and the membership.
Any question at all goes to business@golfbruce.com.
You open the site
Just reading the pages, am I being followed by cookies?
No, mate. No account, no sign-up form, no advertising cookies. No tracking pixels, no Google or Facebook trackers, no analytics scripts.
Cloudflare looks after hosting the site. It processes your IP address to deliver the pages and guard them.
You tap a video link
What's recorded when I come in from a video link or QR code?
The time, the video or link you came from, the page you landed on, and your country. Also a scrambled code made from your IP address.
I never store the IP address, and nobody can turn that code back into it. That's how I learn which videos do people some good.
One small cookie sticks around for 30 days. Its only job is keeping the book page the same version if you come back. It's the only cookie I set. Hotmart's checkout has cookies of its own, under its own policy.
You buy a book
Do you get to see my card when I pay?
Never. The checkout is Hotmart's. They collect your name, email, billing and payment details. I don't see your card number.
Hotmart lets me know your email, what you bought, the price, your country and the video or link behind it. For book orders, I hold only a scrambled copy of your email.
You stop at checkout
What if I start paying and walk away?
Hotmart may send me your name and email. Same goes if the payment doesn't go through.
At most, two emails go out to remind you. Click once and they stop. Already bought? Then you won't get them.
You join the membership
What do you hold on me as a member?
Hotmart hands me your name, email, country, time zone, membership status and dates, and the video or link you came in from. I use them to send your letters.
The letters let me know if they got through and which links you clicked.
You write to me
What happens to an email I send you?
I keep it, with your email address, so I can answer. After 90 days the full raw copy is deleted.
The text of your message stays, so I know what we talked about.
AI gives me a hand
Is an AI reading and answering my emails?
An AI writing assistant may help me draft replies, so you get an answer sooner. That's the only thing it uses your message for.
What it's used for
What do you do with all of it?
Send your books and letters. Answer your questions. Handle refunds. Learn which videos help.
Now and then, tell you about other Bruce Halloran Golf books. Each of those has an unsubscribe link, no exceptions.
Who helps me
Which outfits handle my details?
Hotmart, for payments, book delivery and membership billing. Resend, which sends my emails. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, stores my data and receives the email you send me.
Each one runs its own privacy policy.
What I won't do
Will you sell my details to someone?
No chance. I don't sell your personal information, I don't rent it out, and I don't hand it over for advertising. Full stop.
How long I hold it
How long do my details hang about?
I keep member details while you're a member, until you tell me to delete them.
Unsubscribed addresses become a scrambled “do not email” note, so you're never emailed again. Order records stay for as long as the law says.
You're the boss here
How do I stop the emails or get my data wiped?
Click the one-click unsubscribe link in any email, or just reply “unsubscribe”.
No matter where you live in the US, California too, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Just email business@golfbruce.com. You'll get an answer within 30 days.
Hotmart keeps its own records of purchases; the law requires that.
No kids
Do kids use this site?
It's built for adults. If someone's under 13, I don't knowingly take their data.
If this changes
How will I know if you change this?
I'll change this page and its “Last updated” date. Simple as that.

Keep it simple, keep it straight. — Bruce
